Chapter 22 Summary

Thomas decides to tell the others about his dreams. They gather, and he goes through each dream he recalls. Minho responds first, saying the dreams make him hate WICKED even more. He then questions when Brenda switched sides and she explains she has always been against WICKED, but did what she had to in order to survive. She tells them she doesn’t think WICKED will try controlling them until WICKED is able to observe them. Newt gets angry when Brenda says they will sneak him into the city long enough to get the device out of his brain. He says he doesn’t need to infect healthy people and he doesn’t want to live anyway. He storms out and the meeting ends.

Chapter 23 Summary

They arrive at the landing place in Denver. Jorge explains they will be using their real first names and fake last names, but that they should be let in with few problems because they are immune. They walk up to the gate and Jorge announces their names and business (information gathering and field studies). He offers to show them his Berg certification papers. The gate opens. After entering their information into a panel, the guard tells them to move on to the viral testing station.
